My name is Lacey Locke and I am one lucky girl. My sister and I were found wandering the streets in North Carolina and taken into a shelter. It wasn't until I was rescued and placed into foster care that I realized the beauty of life. Humans are simply amazing and bring me so much joy! When I see you, I will shake my tiny tush until I can give you a hug or a kiss. Now that I have consistent meals, my fuzzy soft fur is really coming in. I will gladly sit in your lap for a snooze, as I'm a big fan of cuddling.
I am learning the joy of going on walks with humans, and will prance around with the leash in my mouth as we walk. My foster mom thinks I look silly, but I am proud of this responsibility. I am still not so good at this walking thing, but give me some time and I will be a pro. I like to play tug-of-war and fetch, and I will steal the occasional shoe if I can't find a toy. I am crate trained and sleep through the night. When I am tired, I go to my crate and put myself to sleep in my bed where I stay quietly until the morning (a cozy bed is very important to me). I am working on housebreaking, but am not there yet. I love treats and am learning how to sit. I currently live with two resident dogs, one of which is much bigger than me. I am not afraid of them and have found them to be pretty good playmates. There is also a cat here that I bother on occasion, but he is boring and I mostly leave him alone.
I am listed as a small/medium "Labrador-Retriever" mix and have really dainty features. I am tiny, but I have a big heart. I weigh 7 pounds at 8 weeks (my estimated birthday is July 6, 2023). Come check me out. I guarantee you will fall in love with my sweet and sassy self!
