My name is Kristie, I am a 10lb, 3 year old terrier mix. I was saved from a horrible life at a puppy mill. Despite my rough start I am a happy loving girl. It takes me a little longer to warm up to men, but I am getting better. I had an eye ulcer which was probably from an old injury. The ulcer is gone but I still suffer from dry eye. I'm not sure how long treatment for this will go on, but I am a trooper with getting my eye drops. My eye doesn't affect me negatively in any way. I would prefer to have a home where someone is home most of the time, I have some separation anxiety that I am working on. My foster parents let me run around when they go out, but I still bark looking for them to come home. I will need more time to feel secure and safe. I am doing really well at my potty training when kept on a schedule. I do wear a pretty pink diaper when I am left alone since I'm not 100 % there yet. At night I sleep in a crate next to my foster parent's bed. I like the security of knowing they are close. I get along well with other dogs and cats. I do bark at cats when I first meet them, but I am very nice. I am still learning how to go down steps, but I go up with no problem. This is all new to me since I have been in a cage most of my life. I have also discovered how much fun a yard is. I enjoy running around and exploring the sites. My foster mom says I am a total love bug who enjoys snuggling on the sofa. I am learning how wonderful life can be. If you think I would be a perfect fit for your family please contact Wags.

Kristie is a 3 year old, 10 pound terrier mix. She had a rough start to her life coming from a puppy mill. Despite that Kristie is the sweetest girl. She loves to be with her person. She has also discovered that having a yard is the best. She is doing well with her potty training when kept on a schedule. Kristie is not a fan of being alone for long periods of time. She would do best with someone who works from home or is home a lot of the time. Hopefully she will come to realize that she isn't being left, and her people always come back. Kristie does sleep quietly in her crate next to the bed of her foster parents. Kristie is working on climbing steps, she can go up a few steps, but isn't so sure about going down. She is currently living with 2 small dogs and 2 cats. She does like to bark at the cats,  but is discovering that they are ok. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle with people. She is a total love. She is still a little jumpy at sudden sounds and movements. Kristie is being treated for an eye ulcer which may have developed from an injury. It is still up in the air if she will gain her vision back in her left eye. She is a real trooper with getting the eye drops throughout the day. Her eye doesn't bother her at all. If you think you might be the perfect parent for Kristie please contact Wags.
