Meet Rayna — a 7-year-old spayed pittie mix with the sweetest soul and a heart big enough for everyone she meets. Whether you walk on two legs or four, Rayna is convinced you’re a friend she just hasn’t cuddled yet. This resilient girl came to us after being surrendered alongside multiple other dogs at a local shelter, and while her journey hasn’t always been easy, she has never let that dim her gentle spirit or loving personality.
Not long after arriving, Rayna hit a bump in the road when abnormal bloodwork delayed the knee surgery she desperately needed. Months of medications, vet visits, and recovery would have been enough to discourage most dogs, but not this girl. Through it all, Rayna remained patient, affectionate, and endlessly trusting. Her surgery is now complete, and she recovered beautifully like the brave little warrior she is. She may still need to shed a couple extra pounds from her time on prednisone, but she’s already making wonderful progress on her weight-loss journey and enjoys getting out for leisurely walks to help keep her moving and feeling her best.
Rayna is the definition of a couch potato. Her favorite place in the world is curled up beside her people on a soft blanket, soaking up love and giving it right back. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and has wonderful manners in the home. She adores kids, loves companionship, and asks for very little beyond kindness, comfort, and a cozy place to rest her head.
After everything she’s been through, Rayna deserves a soft place to land — a family who will cherish her for the incredible dog she is. She’s proof that even after a rough start, love and resilience can shine through in the most beautiful ways.
