Meet Howie: Your Future Best Friend!
Hi there! I'm Howie, a male 1-year-old, 55 lb, black lab with a heart full of love and a personality that's just as big. If you're looking for a dog who's friendly, loyal, and always up for a cuddle, then I'm your guy. I'm sweet, playful, and love making new friends, both human and canine. I'm actually pretty chill for a lab, just happy to hang out and enjoy life. The only time I get a little excited is when it's time to say hello—I might jump up to greet you because I'm so happy to see you! But don't worry, I'm working on keeping all four paws on the ground and greeting you like the polite pup I'm trying to be.
When I'm not greeting you, you can usually find me soaking up the sun like I'm on vacation. There's nothing better than finding the perfect sunbeam and just chilling out for a while. I'm also pretty much obsessed with belly rubs—seriously, if you're near me and your hands are free, it's belly rub time. I'll roll over and give you my best "please rub my belly" face, and you won't be able to resist!
I'm super dog-friendly and get along great with my canine pals. If you have other dogs, I'm happy to join in on all the fun, whether it's a friendly game of tag or just hanging out. And kids? Don't even get me started! I love kids—I'm gentle, playful, and would love to have a few little humans in my life to share my goofy antics with. These little people should know I can be jumpy, remember?
House trained? Check! I'm a clean pup and haven't had a single accident in my foster home. I know the routine and I'm a pretty well-behaved guy overall.
