Memphis is a 9-10 month old hound mix puppy, weighing approximately 35 lbs. In his previous life, he was said to live with kids, dogs and cats. Then, he was taken to a dogsitter and never picked up. Now, he is looking to start his new life with a family who will love him and not let him down.
Memphis is friendly and loving to all he meets. In his foster home, he has shown he is house broken and most times will go to the door to let you know he has to go out. He has done well in the crate overnight and while foster mom is at work.
He loves toys and bones and will entertain himself throwing his toy around, chewing a bone or engage you in a game of fetch or tug. He makes the silliest grunting, snorting noises when he plays. He can be a little mouthy when playing, but we are working on redirecting to his toys or bones.
Walking on a leash seems to be new to him. He’s not a big puller but is a bit all over the place, checking out the sites, looking at people and dogs and stopping to sniff every blade of grass. He showed interest in the people and dogs he saw on the way but was very respectful and did not bark at them.
Memphis is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations and monthly preventatives.
