Meet Gretta — a truly special little girl with the sweetest soul and the happiest heart. This beautiful puppy was pulled from a local shelter and quickly made herself right at home in foster care. Shortly after arriving, her foster family noticed she was having some trouble seeing. Gretta was evaluated by both a neurologist and an ophthalmologist, and it was determined that she can currently see shadows, though her vision may continue to decline over time.
But if you ask Gretta, that is just a tiny detail in her big, wonderful life.
This amazing girl navigates the world with determination, bravery, and so much love. She has learned her surroundings beautifully and approaches every day with confidence, tail wags, and endless affection. Gretta does not let her visual impairment slow her down — she runs through the yard, chases after her toys, and happily explores life right alongside everyone else.
Gretta is doing wonderfully with both house training and crate training. She is dog friendly and currently lives with two young boys, ages 5 and 7, whom she absolutely adores. She loves being part of the family fun but is just as happy snuggled up beside you for cuddle time after a long day of play.
This spayed sweetheart is playful, loving, resilient, and full of joy. She has a heart that shines brighter than anything her eyes may miss. Gretta is the kind of dog who leaves a lasting impression — beautiful inside and out, with a gentle spirit and an incredible ability to love.
All she needs now is a forever family ready to see just how extraordinary she truly is.
