Meet Heirloom (and yes, we're all obsessed with her EARS!)

At just 16 weeks old, it's already clear that Heirloom is something special. She's a Shepherd mix with a soft, gentle soul and a curious, thoughtful mind. She's the kind of puppy who doesn't just join a family, she becomes part of it.

She may be a little shy at first, but give her a few days (a week at most), and you'll see her blossom. Once she realizes she's safe and truly home, she melts into one of the sweetest, most loving pups you'll ever meet.

Heirloom is the best of everything: Sweet and affectionate, silly and playful, inquisitive and intelligent, and light on her feet.

In her foster home, Heirloom is off to an amazing start and proving to be such a good girl:

Doing so well with potty training.
Sleeps through the night (crate trained).
Learning leash walking and making great progress.
Picking up basic manners quickly.

Heirloom can be a little unsure in new situations such as loud noises, fast movements, and unfamiliar people may startle her at first. But with a little time and reassurance, she works through it beautifully. She just needs a patient family who will let her adjust and grow at her own pace.

Her ideal home would be a calm, patient, and loving environment with adults or a family with older children (younger kids will need guidance with her). She needs a home that truly includes her as part of the family. She could do well as a solo dog, but would likely thrive with a calm, confident canine companion to help show her the world.

Heirloom is still a young puppy, so her forever family should be ready to continue building her confidence with gentle, consistent support. She responds best to encouragement being a girl who flourishes hearing more "YES!" than "NO."

Her foster family has been focusing on helping her learn that the world isn't as scary as it might seem, and that people are kind. Now she's ready to find a family who will keep showing her just how good life can be.

Ready to meet your new best friend? Heirloom's foster family welcomes any questions that you may have.
