Wags Rescue & Referral is a small group of volunteers from Bucks County, Montgomery County and Philadelphia, PA that started because they wanted to help dogs affected by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005 by placing them in loving and safe homes. That Hurricane created a bond between individuals who had a desire to help, rescue and love those that were lost, abandoned, neglected or mistreated and through no fault of their own were without a family and a place to call home. Wags is an all-breed foster based rescue that continues to pull from the overcrowded southern shelters and take in local surrenders throughout the area. We get the dogs up to date on vetting while living in one of our loving foster homes. Once dogs are considered available, they will attend our weekly meet and greet events and be showcased on Adopt-A-Pet as well as our social media outlets. We are a recognized non-profit organization that relies on donations from the general public and through our adoption fees to fund this mission and help save those we can.
