Since the initial post, Abracadabra has made a lot of progress! Her foster Dad has returned to working outside the house, and she does well for short bouts in her crate. That being said, due to her age it would be best that she not be in that kind of environment on a daily basis. Her forever family should prepare for ample opportunities for socialization and quality time as a family. Abracadabra loves everyone - dogs, cats and people of all ages. She loves to snuggle beside you and she loves to play. She's making great strides with potty training and is almost 100% of the way there. She's also been spayed, and is ready to find her forever home. Perhaps it's your home?
Abracadabra is a typical 5 month old puppy - chaotic, adorable, and curious about everything. With her soft, brindle coat, this beautiful girl is a delight to pet and cuddle with. She's currently being fostered with her brother, Open Sesame, and the two love to play with each other and the resident dogs. Abracadabra is very sweet and is a kissing fiend - who doesn't want to start their day with a cuddle and kiss?! She is still working on potty training, so the work will need to continue in her forever home. Fortunately, she's shown herself to be as smart as she is sweet, and the remainder of her training should be easy as Abracadabra loves treats. Like many older puppies, she is in the process of teething, so everything is a fun chew toy (your fingers, the stair bannister, the occasional toy). She is cat, dog, and kid friendly, and does well sleeping in her crate overnight. Because of her age we don't recommend crating her for long periods of the day. However, her perfect home will be understanding of this precious time in her life, as she's sure to be a wonderful companion as an adult.
