Meet Amiga Juanita, Everyone's Friend!

Amiga Juanita is a 1.5-year-old sweetheart who is still very much a puppy at heart. While she has been known to "perform surgery" on stuffed toys to find the squeaker, she is a fast learner who already knows basic commands like "sit," "down," and "no."

Her Ideal Home:

  • Activity Level: Medium to High! She loves to play and will need plenty of durable bones and "power chewer" toys. Note for Multi-Dog Homes: When playing with other dogs, she can go into "full play mode" and will need a human to remind her to settle down and take breaks.

  • Training: She is crate-trained (quiet through the night and work day) and appears housebroken on a schedule. She walks well on a harness but will need continued leash training to help her resist the urge to chase squirrels.

  • Friends: She loves other dogs! Amiga Juanita thinks that since "friend" is in her name, she should be friends with them all! She currently lives with a cat, though she tends to want to play more than the cat would like; she would likely be happiest in a home without felines.

Amiga Juanita is a social butterfly who loves everyone she meets. If you're looking for an eager-to-learn companion to join your forever family, fill out an application today!

Looking for a social butterfly? Meet 1.5-year-old Amiga Juanita! She's a happy, high-energy pup who is ready to find her forever family.

The Highlights:  Smart Girl: Knows "sit," "down," and "no."  Gold Star Roommate: Crate-trained and housebroken on a schedule.  Toy Preference: "Power chewers" only—she loves finding those squeakers!  Dog Friendly: She loves other dogs, but she plays hard! She needs a family who can help her "settle" when she gets too excited during zoomies. Cat Status: Likely better in a cat-free home (she's a bit too much for her current cat roommate).

She's still working on her leash manners (squirrels are very distracting!), but she's eager to learn and loves everyone.
