Meet Cailin! Cailin is a 5 year old black lab mix. She was previously picked up running the streets in NC, homeless and looking for love in all the wrong places! She was locked up for loitering and was sent to a very overcrowded doggy slammer in NC, where she went by the alias of "Pinky".
Her luck changed when she was bailed out by WAGS/Hopewell and hitched a ride to PA to find her forever family. Her new family changed her name to Cailin. Things were going well, until she started showing too much interest in the resident cats. As a result she needs to find a new home, minus any cats.
Cailin's current human describes her as very loving and loyal. She is housebroken and is not destructive. She does not need to be crated and can be trusted to roam free in the home when family is working/out of the home etc.
She walks nicely on a leash and that is her form of exercise these days as her current human does not have a fenced yard. Cailin is dog friendly, however she does have a green side, so would do best being the only dog. She does not like to share her human's affection with other dogs. She has not been around small children so a family without children would be best. She had a habit of grabbing at clothing to get attention, however she did attend training and that appears to have helped. It would be best she go to a dog savvy family who will correct her, using positive reinforcement for this bad habit if she were to start it again.
To sum it up:
-Cailin would do great in a home with no children, cats or other dogs
-Cailin is very comfortable walking on a leash and doing her business on a leash. She does not need a fenced yard.
-Cailin is not destructive and can be trusted to be left home alone
-Cailin needs a dog savvy owner who will be sure to correct her if any of her old attention seeking habits should resurface.
-Cailin is a very affectionate loyal girl who attaches quickly to her human
