Carissa, who also goes by Rissa is a sweet 1 year old terrie mix (with maybe some border collie). She loves people and adores saying hi and getting pets from every person she sees (big or small). She gets along great with other dogs but does prefer slow introductions with some dogs. Rissa also adores other critters, she's been working on her tree-climbing skills to be closer to the birds and squirrels. She walks well on a leash, but does pull if she sees one of her favorite critters or people she wants to say hi to. She is not a huge fan of the crate yet (working on getting her more comfortable and willing to be in it), but she is sleeping in her crate all night. Rissa loves to be near her people and does get upset when not near them or able to see them. She is currently in a foster home with two young kids, but she does need some work on her house manners since she loves giving hugs and licks on the face. Rissa is a beautiful, fluffy, friendly dog, who is ready to spoil you with love.
Hi, my name is Carissa! I'm a smart, confident puppy in a scruffy coat. I'm 8 months old and weigh 40 lbs. I like playing with squeaky toys – I'll play fetch with you, or I'll just grab a toy and play by myself. When I'm done playing, I enjoy chewing on a Nylabone and chilling. I love to be with my people and will follow you around the house and lay down wherever you are. I'm almost there with the house training and am getting the hang of leash walking. I sleep all night long in my crate, but I'm still working on my crate training during the day. I'm good with children and other dogs – I currently live with 2 kids and 2 dogs.
