Sweet, petite Demi is a 8-9 month old Lab mix weighing about 35 lbs. Demi is doing well in her foster home since she got here. She is house trained with a consistent schedule, crate trained (although might whine for a little when she first goes in) and a total joy to have around.
When Demi first came to foster care, she was an only dog. As an only dog, she is a little more timid and unsure. After her kennelmate joined her, she is a lot more outgoing and comfortable. So she can be an only dog or join another dog in your home, but her personality is definitely different in each scenario.
Leashwalking is new to Demi and she is learning as she goes. She’s a little unsure on her walks when she encounters Halloween decorations, cars and kids playing. But we are working on making her more comfortable and confident going through the neighborhood. She seems to be content to be close by, no heavy leash pulling, but does love to stop and sniff the area.
Demi loves to meet new people and dogs. She was introduced to cats and was good, but as always slow introductions and supervision are recommended.
Toys and bones are Demi’s favorite and she will happily play with them when she’s not laying close by for pets and snuggles. She loves to play and roam the backyard or just sit and watch for squirrels and rabbits.
Demi is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is on monthly preventatives so she is ready to go to her new home and family.
