Hugo is a young male shepherd mix who’s already winning hearts left and right with his soulful eyes, gentle spirit, and happy-go-lucky personality. Originally from West Virginia, Hugo had a rough start—he was exposed to parvo early in life—but thanks to quick care and a fighting spirit, he’s doing wonderfully and continuing to grow strong and healthy every day.

Now thriving in his foster home, Hugo is learning all the good puppy things—like house and crate training—and doing a fabulous job! He’s a smart boy who loves praise and attention, and he's eager to please (especially if there’s a treat involved). With his classic shepherd personality, Hugo is both intelligent and sensitive. He bonds deeply with his people, craves connection, and thrives in a loving, structured environment.

Hugo is truly a social butterfly—he absolutely loves everyone he meets, whether they walk on two legs or four. Friendly with other dogs and affectionate with humans, he’s the perfect mix of cuddly companion and playful pup.

This sweet boy is looking for a forever family who will continue to guide him as he grows, teach him all the things good boys need to know, and give him the unconditional love he so deserves. In return, Hugo promises loyalty, affection, and years of tail wags, kisses, and heart-melting moments.

If you’re searching for a sensitive, snuggly, and smart young pup to grow up with, Hugo might just be your perfect match.
