Hi, my name's Jack! I'm a 68-pound lab mix looking for my forever family! My coat is a shiny, silky black, with distinctive white markings on my chin, chest, neck, and paws. I've already been neutered, and I'm up to date on all of my shots and preventatives. They estimate I'm about 1 ½ years old, but some say my temperament makes me seem older, as I'm calmer than most pups my age. I am active, however, and I enjoy playing with other dogs as well as humans. I love to run around and do zoomies in my foster's fenced-in back yard and with other dogs at the dog park. I also enjoy hiking and long walks where I can smell many new smells, and my Easy Walker harness is helping me learn not to pull on the leash when I see a rabbit or a squirrel. I'm potty-trained and used to staying crated during the workday. I love chewing on dog toys made for strong chewers, but I've been known to mistake a shoe or two for toys; my foster mom makes sure such items are stored out of reach when I roam free in the house. I love my people and will follow you from room to room, however, I'll wait patiently by the door when you need your privacy. I'm good with children and love their attention, but I'm a big boy who's a bit clumsy, so I may be too much for smaller kiddies. I'm quite affectionate and I will give you loads of kisses if you allow it. I enjoy getting pets and belly rubs and butt scratches, but I can also just chill next to you on the floor or on the couch if you are busy in the kitchen or working on the computer. Jack is a one-year old black lab mix ready to find his forever family. Jack is crate trained. walks well on a leash, and loves to run around in a fenced in yard. He's super affectionate and gives kisses lovingly while he leans into you for hugs and scratches. Jack is an energetic boy who enjoys playing with other dogs (cats unknown). He's great with kids but his enthusiasm may be a bit much for small ones. Jack will do best with an active family that will give him the love and company he deserves.
