Meet Nacho! An Active little guy
Nacho is a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix who is still patiently waiting for his forever family. This little guy has all the charm, personality, and quirks that Chihuahua lovers know and adore!
Nacho enjoys staying active with daily walks, exploring the neighborhood, and keeping an eye on everything going on around him. He's surprisingly athletic, happily going up and down stairs and hopping on and off the couch. Curious and intelligent, he likes to investigate his surroundings and be involved in whatever his people are doing. He also loves playing with his foster puppy friends and enjoys having canine companions around.
Like a true Chihuahua, Nacho values familiarity and routine. He may take a little time to warm up to new people and situations, preferring to observe first and decide when he's comfortable. He isn't the type to instantly become everyone's best friend, but once you're part of his trusted circle, you'll have a loyal little shadow who wants to be near you and share in your day.
Chihuahua fans will recognize many of Nacho's classic traits. He's smart, observant, devoted to his people, and has plenty of opinions to share. He can be vocal when he thinks something deserves your attention and has the confidence of a dog ten times his size. Nobody has told Nacho he's a small dog, and he's perfectly happy that way!
His ideal adopter will appreciate both the wonderful and sometimes challenging sides of Chihuahua life—his loyalty, intelligence, curiosity, and spunky attitude, along with his need for patience, consistency, and a little time to settle into new situations. In return, Nacho will reward his person with endless companionship, entertainment, and devotion.

Nacho is a 5-year-old Chihuahua with exactly the kind of personality you'd expect, sweet, spicy, and packed into a tiny body. He's full of charm, character, and just the right amount of sass that makes Chihuahuas so lovable. Nacho knows what he likes, loves his routines, and thrives when he's with "his person(people)." Once he bonds with you, he is incredibly loyal and affectionate, always wanting to be close—whether that's curled up next to you on the couch or following you from room to room or around the yard.
The last few months have been a big adjustment for Nacho. His world changed when he was given up/handed to caring person at a McDonald's in Philadelphia, and since then, he's been navigating a lot of new experiences. He now lives in a home with three large dogs, which has been a huge transition for a little guy like him. Through it all, Nacho has shown resilience and continues to open up more each day, but he would truly thrive in a more predictable, calm environment where he can feel secure again.
Nacho is looking for a home with someone who understands and appreciates small dog tendencies. He would do best with an owner who respects his personality, gives him time to settle in, and enjoys the quirks that come with a true Chihuahua companion. He's not just a dog—he's a little sidekick with a whole lot of love to give.
He absolutely loves attention and being doted on. Nacho enjoys being held, cuddled, and talked to, and he will happily soak up all the affection you're willing to give. He also loves going for walks and getting out to explore the world at his own pace—it's one of his favorite ways to build confidence and bond with his person. In return, he offers deep devotion and companionship that only a dog like him can provide.
Nacho is currently learning house manners and will need a patient and understanding adopter to continue helping him succeed. He may have previously been used to indoor pee pads, but now that he's neutered, he's working on transitioning and building more consistent habits. With structure, encouragement, and patience, he will continue to make great progress.
He would thrive in a calmer, stable home where he can decompress from the big changes he's experienced and truly settle into a routine. an adopter with who is experienced with small dogs, would help him feel safe and allow his personality to shine.
If you're someone who understands that great things come in small packages and you're ready to give a deserving dog the stability, patience, and love he needs, Nacho might just be your perfect match
