Macy is a 1 yr old Catahoula mix. For those of you who are not familiar with the breed they are known to be intelligent, inquisitive, gentle, independent and loving. Macy's been with me for just about 2 weeks now. I have been working hard on gaining Macy's trust and she is slowly starting to be a part of my furry family. She is looking for someone who understands that her early life wasn't easy and she finds it difficult to trust all humans just yet but with patience and love she'll make someone a perfect companion. She is a beautifully unique looking girl with such soulful eyes.

Macy struggles with people approaching or touching her. She likes to be the one to initiate any contact. She doesn't like loud noises or sudden movements. You should have seen her reaction the first time she heard the TV! Because of this she would do best in a home without small children. She is good with other dogs and gets along fine with the resident cat. A fenced yard would be ideal for her though we are working on our leash walking. She can be easily scared by the everyday happenings on walks and that can make it a challenge but she's learning.  She loves to run around the yard with the other dogs playing in the falling leaves sometimes to the point that she doesn't want to go in the house when called. She is crate trained and housebroken with only one accident in the house in the time she's been here. She follows the other dogs leads so having another dog in the house would be good.

Macy is a very low maintenance girl. In the time she's been with me I haven't heard her bark once! That would be a bonus if you have neighbors!

If you are willing to spend time gaining this pretty lady's trust she's going to be the most loyal and loving pup. A little patience and love will go a very long way with Macy.
