Simon is a 7 month old neutered hound/lab mix. He has learned, sit, paw, lay down, and stay. He is working on leash training, but as a typical hound, he is eager to smell everything he can. Simon would do best in an active household with dog savvy children and he would love to have a 4-legged playmate. A secure yard with a high fence would be preferred, otherwise, he would need to be secured on a tie out.

This 4 and 1/2-month-old hound mix is full of love, playfulness, and curiosity! Simon gets along nicely with other dogs and is being trained by an eight-year-old pup on what to listen for for proper play. Simon spent a day and a half with a strong-willed cat and was appropriately respectful that it was a feline-headed household.
Simon absolutely loves people! Simon currently lives with kids ages 6 through 14. Children without dog experience might be overwhelmed by his age appropriate playfulness and Simon is learning to keep his front paws down when he gets excited around them. Though he enjoys playing, he also loves a good cuddle and especially is fond and snuggling in bed! That said, Simon also does a wonderful job sleeping overnight in his crate. Simon is doing very well with potty training. For four and a half months he's doing exceptionally well, his foster mom says. Simon can stay overnight in his crate without accidents, will promptly go potty when he goes outside and has regular potty breaks after breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Simon is learning that when he has valuable things in his mouth he needs to let them go when his humans tell him. Because he can be a little playful and a little growly at this approach. Simon is not recommended for a household with young children who might want to take things from him before he learns his proper behavior. Simon is very food and treat motivated and is learning some basic commands. But if you're familiar with hounds, you know this is slightly against his nature and so he is a work in progress!
Simon is not a super fan of the car, but he will get in on his own especially if there is another pup going for a ride. Like most 4 and 1/2-month-old puppies, Simon is working on his leash training skills. He loves walking to pick up kids from school and is excited but also a little cautious about meeting new dogs.
Simon will make an outstanding member of your family, and looks forward to his forever home!
Introducing Whiskey’s “S” Pups!!
This sweet group made their trip to Pennsylvania when they were a couple of days old. Momma is thought to be a hound/beagle mix. Dad is thought to be the milk man so not sure what breed he was.
Like typical puppies they love to play, run and cuddle. They love to play outside and meeting new people. All are tri colored, with their own unique markings. If they end up with momma’s sweet disposition they will grow to be amazing dogs.
Sam, Simon and Stephen are boys. Serena, Stella, Savannah, Sofia, Shania and Scarlett are females. They are all fully vaccinated and now accepting applications. Apply now and they are ready to go to their forever homes on September 13th when they celebrate their 8 week birthday.
