Rex is a 3-4 year old Pitbull mix, weighing in at about 60 pounds of pure love. Despite a rough start in life, this resilient pup has nothing but affection to give. He wears the scars of his past on his face and body, but his heart is full of love, not resentment - he seeks attention from everyone he meets.
Rex is a goofy, snuggly couch potato who enjoys lounging around with occasional bursts of playful energy. He has a hilarious habit of "talking" to his people with a mix of howls, whines, and barks - he always has something to say! His favorite things include cozy blankets, a comfy couch or chair, and a good bone to chew on, but his number one love is simply being with his people.
Rex is house and crate trained in his foster home, though he's trusted to be left out of the crate when home alone - just as long as food isn't left on the counters or within his reach! He's a bit of a counter surfer and believes any unattended snacks are fair game. When he first came to rescue, he was very skinny, but he's working on filling out with some much-needed extra treats.
This sweet boy is dog-friendly and naturally submissive with other dogs. He hasn't been cat-tested, but he'd do best in a home with dog-savvy kids or children over 12. When he gets excited, he has a habit of boinging up with joy - a charming but uncoordinated display of enthusiasm that younger kids might not appreciate!
