Rita is a 4-month old Lab/German Shorthair Pointer mix with a velvety black coat. She's a gentle and quiet girl who's great with everyone she meets, especially kids of all ages and sizes, as well as other dogs. Rita is doing well with potty training when kept on a schedule. She does not like being in a crate, but will tolerate it for short periods, though not for long stretches or overnight. She likes leash walks, playing fetch, chomping on her toys, and just chilling with the family, wherever they are. This lovable pup is happiest when she's with her people, and following them wherever they go is her favorite pastime. Rita is a world-champion napper and cuddler, so if snuggling is your game, Rita's your girl. She knows basic commands and there is no resource guarding. Rita's calm personality makes her the perfect companion dog for someone looking to spend their days alongside a loyal pup with a gentle nature. This affectionate girl is looking for her forever family, where she can bond with her people and share the loads of love she has to give. She'd also do great with a fur sibling, and has done really well with her foster family's resident dog. If you give her a chance, Rita will wrap herself around your heart before you know it!
