Hello to all you fine folks. I see you are looking for your best
friend. I hope you have great luck in your search - you see I am also
on the same quest. But to know me, Sebastian Reece, you'll find that I
believe that good things come in good time.
I had a wonderful owner. I was loved, and I shared my whole heart. But
when they died, there was no one to take me or my "sister"/good buddy
Smudge, and I found myself on a list to travel from the rolling hills
of NC, to the slightly less rolling hills of the Philadelphia suburbs.
I arrived on October 6th, and immediately got to work letting the new
family up here know that I am a good, dependable boy. I get along with
dogs, cats, men, women, kids of all ages. I am beautifully housebroken
(as long as I am okay to be on a couch where I like to snooze). I am
generally quiet, and while I can be playful with people (mostly
nudging for more pets) and dogs (I can get hoppy), I am gentle and
aware that 1) I am older and 2) we can have fun in a calm way too!
My foster mom just had 2 rounds of puppies, and she says I am a balm
restoring order and much needed rest. The foster host pup (also 10)
agrees wholeheartedly. He says I would make a truly excellent
companion for almost any person,pup or kitty! I exhibit no anxieties,
so perhaps I am here to provide therapeutic support when needed!
I know some of you will look at my age, and say "oh no, we wouldn't
have enough time together." But I wonder if spending peaceful days
reading or watching a movie together; going on nice walks (I am in
good shape and very leggy so I can easily keep pace); or sitting on
the porch watching clouds seems like the kind of best friend activity
that might be just what you need? Anyway, if we meet, I know I will
love you and you will love me. That's just who I am. I know we will
both find our best friend. Sharing this life is what I am meant to do,
and my search for my forever family doesn't stop me from loving
everyone in my life while I wait.
